Flax seeds are a great source of fibre and omega-3 fat acids in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
Consuming flaxseeds help reduce LDL cholesterol and support healthy blood pressure.
Flax seed fibrous outer shell is rather difficult to digest, thus the omega-3 fats within is not easily obtained. Therefore, grounded/milled flaxseed is recommended to get all the goodness out of flaxseeds.
